The process is simple and painless. We'll break it down right here for you to help the process run as smoothly as possible.

Contact Us

Your first step is to decide what kind of help your manuscript needs and determine the appropriate service. Then, you can contact us via email for a consultation.

If you would like a sample edit, please attach your sample to this initial email.

Email Consultation

Within 48 hours, we will shoot you an email to chat more about the project. We'll discuss the kind of edit the book requires, our scheduling, and payment options. If you sent us a sample, we'll get it back to you at that time.

After our discussion and you take a look at our edits and notes, you decide whether we'll be a good fit.

Contracts & NDAs

With first-time clients, we typically sign a contract before any work begins.

If you have a non-disclosure form, we'll include that in the contract, or we can provide a standard NDA. This is optional.

Paying the Deposit

After we have an agreement, we'll send you a PayPal invoice for the first payment. This will either be half the total payment or the first part of our payment plan. This deposit secures your spot on our calendar.

Once you've made your payment, you need to send us the documents at least 24 hours before we're scheduled to work. We cannot begin without the files.

We Do the Heavy Lifting

Thus begins the actual edits.

We use LibreOffice. The program's edit tracking feature is compatible with Microsoft Word's Track Changes, so any edits we make are easily accessible in either program.

Once we start, our edits typically take 2-3 weeks, depending on the kind of edit.

The Edits Are Done

When the edits are complete, we'll email you the documents for your approval. All edits are recommendations, and you must go through the documents to accept or deny any suggestions.

At this time, we can discuss the edits. If anything about our work is confusing, contact us so we can get on the same page.

If the services include revisions, you will go through the manuscript and make any necessary alterations before returning it to us for another round of edits.

Final Payment

Finally, we'll send you a PayPal invoice for the final payment. Once that last payment has been made, the service is complete!
